New and Improved - Visible JDS Indicator

Current users of Optalert have an indicator on the dash-board of their vehicle, which indicates the normal operation with a blue light, “caution or critical drowsiness warning” with a red light and a “please take care warning”.

The new JDS indicator pad will provide a visible output of the score and will become a more interactive experience for the driver.

The new and improved benefit of the JDS score on the indicator will display three new risk signals (as demonstrated):

  1. Low risk will be displayed in Green (Normal)
  2. Medium risk will be displayed in Yellow (Caution)
  3. High risk will be displayed in Red (Critical)

Previously a driver would be alerted at the last minute that the onset of drowsiness was occurring.
The new indicator will progressively move up the scale from low to high, where at a high level the indicator reaches a score of 5.0 and the driver is now too drowsy to drive; Time to pullover for a 15 minute nap.

NOTE: To be launched end of December 2009
