A message from the CEO

Our customers are not a shy group of people and Optalert benefits through their feedback by developing products and services aligned to their actual requirements.  We have spent the last few months ensuring our development is focused around the driver and how he or she uses Optalert.  This starts with the education of both managers and operators; it continues with a focus on making driving safer and improves the process for all team members across the company.

In between all of this is the device a driver uses and our product improvements are in line with our customers’ requests.  We’re fortunate to have such a relationship and value greatly the time taken to feedback the need.   More can be seen about these improvements later in this issue.

Even in tougher times leaders in safety never loose their focus and in the last few months Optalert has been delighted to work with wonderful businesses like WestNet Energy, the Water Corporation, BHP in New Mexico, Newcrest, Byrnecut Mine and Sutherlands Transport.  There is also a buzz within the major safety, government and regulatory bodies about the preventative technology Optalert provides to the market.  Our commitment to life saving technology and as thought leaders in this field positions Optalert as the best partner when considering fatigue technology.

Fatigue was recently described in a US paper as a quiet pandemic and for those who have experienced the devastating consequences of poor fatigue management it must feel a lot worse than a pandemic.  Our current customer and their drivers are using the most advanced technology available to reduce the risk and as one of our more vocal users in WA said recently.  “This bloody well works”.
